Hey everybody. Bernie Gartland from the Gartland group.

Again, we are going to talk about something that is unbelievable. Something very, very new and it’s happening here in the California area, the 9th circuit. When one files a chapter 7 bankruptcy and there is a lien on the house, that survives the bankruptcy.

Remember something, you can file a chapter 7 and get rid of personal debt, but the lien survives on your personal property and your house et cetera.

There is a new concept, never before happened that you can file a chapter 13 reorganization after the chapter 7, and you can have that lien eliminated by objecting to the lien in your chapter 13.

This is unbelievable.

In other words, if you have 2 or 3 liens that survive a chapter 7, you can immediately file a chapter 13 and have those liens removed. This is something brand spanking new.

Go to the gartlandgroup.com, talk to us, and we’ll go over these scenarios of how these can work for you.
